Yay! College basketball! Today begins the annual slashing of the brackets across America.

I guess my UNC v. PITT championship game with PITT winning it all (in one bracket) won't be happening.

Today we went to Northville. Claire attended a baby shower for a friend of hers, and I visited my massage therapist for a massage. Afterwards, we (me, Claire, Dean, Amy, and Claire's Mom) gathered at Claire's Mom's house and selected the 2006 recipient of the James W. MSU just lost to George Mason in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament.

My assimilation into MSU's culture can be measured by my emotional response to this loss. Basing it on that measure, I'd say I'm fairly far along in my becoming a Spartan.

The last thing I need is to root for another team and have them lose.
